New-product event a hit with global bicycle industry manufacturers and journalists
Eurobike Media Days 2019: Successful new model test rides in South Tyrol alpine splendor - Optimal conditions for 23 brands (21 exhibitors) and 140 journalists from 15 countries
Kronplatz/Friedrichshafen - Valleys reminiscent of the Mediterranean, steep mountain passes, challenging trails, imposing peaks and tranquil high alpine pastures. Eurobike Media Days (July 2nd to 4th, 2019) was held in the Kronplatz region of South Tyrol, which provided this splendid backdrop and these ideal conditions for putting the new sporty bikes of the 2020 season to the test. At the fifth edition of the successful format, 21 sports-oriented manufacturers marketing a total of 23 brands met with 140 journalists from selected industry media outlets in 15 countries.
Brilliant blue skies, plenty of sunshine and the breathtaking scenery of the South Tyrolean Dolomites with their excellent trails and around 120 km of test tracks provided perfect conditions for the event. "As in previous years, the fifth edition of Eurobike Media Days was held under ideal conditions for industry journalists from around the world to inform themselves about the new models of 2020, as well as to test ride, photograph and film them. Meanwhile, the exhibitors were delighted to have the opportunity to intensively exchange with international journalists,” described Eurobike Director Stefan Reisinger. "The tremendous support we received from our partners Südtirol, Kronplatz and Hero played a decisive role in ensuring that participants successfully got to test road bikes, gravel bikes, and MTBs with and without e-drives, and to discuss them in a relaxed atmosphere,” he added about the successful format. Journalists from 15 countries traveled to South Tyrol’s Kronplatz region for the event.
It has already been decided that next year’s Eurobike Media Days will also take place within the late-June/early-July timeframe. The exact dates and venue will soon be announced by the event’s organizers.

Frank Kickert, Sales & Press, Nox Cycles:
"We’re attending Eurobike and Media Days for the first time and presenting our new model series for 2020. We’ve had lots of journalists out on our bikes here and lots of good feedback. We hope this will provide us with plenty of support heading into Eurobike that will enable us to drive our brand forward. The Kronplatz region and its cycling infrastructure is the best environment in which to test ride NOX bikes.”
Davide Riva, OE Sales Manager F.S.A.:
"We’re really enjoying our first time participating in Eurobike Media Days. It's a terrific event held in a superb location. We’ve had some really good contact with the media, which was precisely our goal. We’re here because we have some new products and our main objective is to introduce them to the industry, partner brands and customers.”
Journalist remarks about Eurobike Media Days 2019:
Omar Gatti, Bikeitalia.it:
"I really like this event because there's nothing worse than working with bikes that you can't try out. That's especially important with e-bikes, as it's the only way to really assess their benefits. Here we have these opportunities, so we can pass on all our impressions to our readers. This is why I like this event so much. The location of the event is fantastic. It’s actually my first time in this part of Italy. It’s really great here. There are plenty of trails and I’ve had a lot of fun.”
Franziska Nehl, Girlsridetoo.de:
"It’s fantastic here! A really perfect opportunity to test all the red-hot models and ride the trails on them. There are people from lots of manufacturers here to meet and plenty of good opportunities to talk with them.”
