The EUROBIKE sustainability concept

As a leading platform for the sustainable mobility industry, EUROBIKE, plays a pioneering role when it comes to sustainability

With its relocation to Frankfurt, EUROBIKE is moving to become a sustainable and climate-neutral trade show.

To make this possible, we work on a number of fronts, from compensating for travel and show set-up to actively working together with the industry and associations to further develop sustainability across the sector.

Travel concept for visitors and exhibitors

EUROBIKE was already awarded a prize in the event mobility category of the DB Climate Mobility Challenge in 2023. The strategy includes an elaborate concept for traveling to the event by bike, including guarded bike parking spaces.

A special public transport service was developed together with Deutsche Bahn and the regional associations. Thanks to its location in the heart of Frankfurt, EUROBIKE is easy to reach by public transport and bike - the offer created together with the partners DB Connect, RMV, the City of Frankfurt and fast2work can be found here.

Sustainability in the EUROBIKE Professional Program

Sustainability plays a central role in the EUROBIKE 2025 trade visitor program. With the SUSTAINABILITY TRACK, the topic will once again have its own stage. The entire program will be planned and implemented along the three dimensions of sustainability - ecological, economic and social.

The speakers of the program will receive train tickets to ensure a sustainable journey. In addition, the entire travel costs will be offset.

Sustainability is also a central evaluation criterion for the EUROBIKE AWARD 2025 - and thus reflects the change and responsibility of the industry.

Sustainable measures during the show

Ongoing trade fair operations at an event like EUROBIKE pose a considerable challenge for sustainability. A comprehensive sustainability guideline for exhibitors is available to ensure that their presence is as environmentally friendly as possible. This provides specific ideas on sustainable trade fair construction, environmentally friendly travel, resource-conserving operation and efficient disposal.

During the event, exhibitors will receive on-site waste advice to ensure that waste separation and recycling at EUROBIKE are more efficient than at comparable events.

The air conditioning in the halls is also continuously monitored and unavoidable emissions are fully offset.

Strategy and philosophy

The same as EUROBIKE, Messe Frankfurt is committed to climate protection and running sustainable business events. Since 2023, it has operated an environmental management system in accordance with the EMAS scheme (including DIN EN ISO 14001). The focus is on measurable, verified, and continuously improved environmental performance – including preparations for sustainability reporting in line with the CSRD.
