Eurobike rolls out new trade show in Thailand
New trade show ASEANBIKE powered by Eurobike in Thailand - South-East Asian region a promising future market for the bike industry
Friedrichshafen/Bangkok - There’s a new addition to the Eurobike family. From 3-5 October, 2019, the leading international trade show from Friedrichshafen is holding a partner show - "ASEANBIKE powered by Eurobike” in Bangkok, Thailand’s capital city. The show is based at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center and held in partnership with experienced Thai trade fair organiser N.C.C. Exhibition Organizer (NEO), who has over ten years of experience of organising the "International Bangkok Bike” trade show in Thailand. Messe Friedrichshafen, the trade show experts from Lake Constance, Germany has designed this new event as a B2B2C platform for the South-East Asian market. "The Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN) region is a promising future market as the number of production sites are continually expanding. In addition to the growing production of bicycles and components in the South-East Asian region, incomes and the standard of living are increasing, as is the demand for high-quality bikes. We see great potential here, both at sourcing and OEM levels, and as a future market for western brands,” explains Stefan Reisinger, Head of Eurobike.
ASEANBIKE powered by Eurobike is open to OEM manufacturers, brands, importers and distributors as well as retailers and service providers. It offers multiple exhibition and meeting options, from classic trade show booths to OE meetings, importer meetings and retailer meetings, right the way through to test/demo tracks, group rides and lots more. The October 2019 date was chosen specifically by both partners as the industry has a proven need for a central meeting point in the ASEAN market at this time.
In addition to Thailand, the ASEAN region includes Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia and Myanmar as well as the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam and Brunei. Given its logistics and infrastructure, Bangkok is the ideal location for an international trade show. The city with millions of inhabitants has two international airports and countless hotels and restaurants. Moreover, cycling in Bangkok is becoming more and more popular - thanks notably to government infrastructure investment in the metropolis.
At the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center in Bangkok, the show is being run by the NEO, the Thai organiser of the International Bangkok Bike show. It is a great advantage to be working with a leading local partner with long-standing experience of successfully planning and implementing industry trade shows. Sakchai Pattarapreechakul, President N.C.C. Group says: "We are delighted to be working with Messe Friedrichshafen. Together, with our joint expertise we will be able to deliver a state-of-the-art and informative trade fair for the ASEAN bicycle market.” The show also benefits from its modern exhibition halls and conference centre, plus the optimal infrastructure and transport links.
"As official supporter, the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) is pleased to see this collaboration bring a new bicycle show platform to Thailand. ASEANBIKE powered by EUROBIKE perfectly combines this major European show with the high-potential ASEAN market. And since biking’s popularity is rising throughout both the EU and the ASEAN region, this show will definitely help boost business, pleasure and relations in the future,” comments Chiruit Isarangkun na Ayuthaya, President Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau.
