THE MEETING POINT FOR CYCLING TOURISM
the bicycle industry is on the move and cycling tourism has been more popular than ever since the beginning of the pandemic. The best conditions for discussing recent developments with the tourism and bicycle industry, media and bloggers at the 21st EUROBIKE TRAVEL TALK on July 15, 2022 at Messe Frankfurt.
After all, you don't travel to arrive, but to travel
The TRAVEL TALK is repositioning itself with the relocation of EUROBIKE from Friedrichshafen to Frankfurt. With its 21st edition, TRAVEL TALK is shifting its focus from niche to mass. So far, bike tourism in tourism serves a small growing target group, even among tourism professionals bike tourism is part of active tourism and beyond mass sales. When TRAVEL TALK started 20 years ago in the Alpine region, it was the evolution from ski tourism to mountain biking in the Alps that started the revolution. At that time, the first regions switched from winter tourism to summer tourism. Now we are dealing with the question - how does bicycle tourism become a mass trend nationwide and how can we better promote bicycle tourism?
Bicycle tourism offers an opportunity in urban and rural areas to better combine everyday life and leisure in terms of infrastructure, offers and cooperation between stakeholders. Bicycle tourism can be a key for regional development at home and abroad. That is why we are working for the first time with a broad TRAVEL TALK advisory board with stakeholders from tourism, associations, tourism regions and industry.
At this year's TRAVEL TALK, everything will revolve around the question of how bicycle tourism can become even more suitable for the masses. Which tourism regions, offers and service providers can we learn from? How do we tap into different target groups, such as luxury or sports segments? Which tools and services make planning a cycling vacation easier? How do we set up good marketing for bicycle tourism?
