The EU Commission is aiming for predominantly CO2-neutral urban logistics by 2030.

Logistics concepts with cargo bikes are increasingly offering an alternative to diesel-powered transport in congested downtown areas. The new Radlogistik Verband Deutschland e.V. (RLVD)represents the interests of pioneers of urban logistics with cargo bikes and trailers. From October 24–26 the RLVD is staging the 1st National Bicycle Logistics Conference in Berlin, and it is the German section of the European Cycle Logistics Federation (ECLF).

What potential does bicycle logistics have in Europe? What vehicles are needed? And what does that mean for the bicycle industry?
