Euro-Bike Tours offers family vacations at a discount

Euro-Bike & Walking Tours is combining two of its most popular programs to offer dream vacations for families at discount prices.

The pairing of Family Tours with Econo-Tours gives adults with children a chance to experience European cultures and living history while saving up to 30 percent off the price of our Luxury Tours. Take another 10 percent off the tour price for children under age 16, and start building a lifetime of memories for your entire family.

Ride along the banks of the Mosel River in Germany, visiting grand castles and lively market towns. Feel your senses spring to life as you cycle through fields of tulips and past wondrous windmills in Holland. Begin your tour of the peaceful Loire Valley in France with a visit to Versailles. Stroll through the meticulously tended gardens filled with flowers, shrubs and statuary.

"We're hosting more families every year," said René Hoeve, Euro-Bike & Walking Tours president. "We wanted to let people know which tours have the most family-friendly sites and activities while offering something affordable to even the biggest families." He added that Family Tours are recommended for adults traveling with children age 6-13, but families are welcome on any tour.

Cycling is easy on these tours, while a choice of routes with higher levels of difficulty are offered daily to those seeking more of a challenge. Special attention is paid to include sites and activities that will be fun for the baby of the family, teen-agers, parents and even grandma and grandpa.

Econo-Tours offer many of the same amenities that the Luxury Tours include. Breakfast each day with morning briefings, maps with directions, 24-hour van and guide support, and our incomparable multi-lingual European guides are part of every tour.

"We can offer Econo-Tours at a discount because we stay in 2- and 3-star hotels instead of 3-, 4- and 5-star hotels. We also save our customers money by offering two multi-course meals instead of the four or five included on our luxury tours," Hoeve said.

Combination Family/Econo-Tours are offered during summer months on La Loire, Dutch Touch and Mosel Magic trips. For families looking for something a little more indulgent, the Danish Isles trip also offers a Family Tour that is a Luxury Tour. In addition, Econo-Tours are offered on a number of Euro-Bike & Walking Tours trips not designated as Family Tours.
