Our delightful bike route sets a comfortable pace for exploring Austria's renowned vineyards along the Danube, then on to the lush Czech Lake District and the remarkable Bohemian Forest. This is a visit you'll savor long after tour ends.

Day 1 Vienna
We'll meet in Vienna, city of music, art, and elegance. Our hotel is located in the center of town... perfect for exploring the sights and the shops before tonight's luscious welcome banquet.

Days 2-3 Krems
Starting in Pöchlarn, we bicycle along the Danube through vineyards and wine villages to remarkable Melk Abbey. After your visit, continue along the famous Austrian wine route to Krems. Tonight, savor the inspired cuisine of master chef Lisl Wagner-Bacher. Next day we'll bike through the woodlands, visiting the elaborate Stift Gottweig abbey. Days 4-5 Ceske Budejovice
Transfer to the lovely gated town of Trebon, in the heart of the Czech Lake District. We'll explore the picturesque town center before mounting bicycles and biking to the lively red-roofed town of Ceske Budejovice. Next day, we'll cycle along the Vltava River to the castles in Hluboká nad Vltavou and Ohrada. And don't forget to visit the Budweiser brewery. It's nothing like the brew we get at home!

Climate in Czech Republic
Days 6-7 Cesky Krumlov
Follow the rolling bicycle path toward the Bohemian Forest, then take a chairlift up Mount Klet for panoramic views. Continue through the forest before arriving in fanciful Cesky Krumlov. Next day we'll bike along the Vltava River south to Vyssi Brod and Rozmberk castle, with an option to canoe or kayak.

Day 8 Prague
Bicycle from Cesky Krumlov to Prachatice or transfer directly to Prague, where you can spend the day at Prague Castle, Sternberg Palace, or among the treasures of the city's historic 13th C Jewish synagogues. Whatever you decide to do, be sure to make the most of your time in Prague. Tonight, we'll enjoy an elegant farewell banquet! (bike tour mileage: 24)
